Penina Golf School
Situated on Portugal's spectacular southern
coast, the 5 star Le Meridian Penina Golf Resort is located
between the traditional fishing port of Portimao and the
historic town of Lagos. Located in the Algarve region, and
close to the lovely town of Alvor there is a harbour where
you can enjoy fresh fish and then stroll along the unspoilt
beach.
The Gary Pike Golf Academy has been visiting the Penina
Resort for the last 10 years. The facility can only be described
as superb, having been completely renovated in 2008. There
is a large practice tee, short game areas and one of the
best putting greens in the world.
The three courses go towards making this an ideal venue
for students of all standards. The Sir Henry Cotton championship
course has hosted the Portuguese Open on numerous occasions
and the oldest course on the Algarve. The Resort course
nine holes with two sets of tees far more user friendly
than the Championship Course and if you are completely new
to golf there is the Academy Course winding its way around
the estate, and it features 6 par 3 holes and 3 par 4 holes.
The Hotel has also been refurbished in 2008 and the rooms
are beautifully appointed, with all of the facilities you
might expect from a 5 star hotel, turndown service, satellite
TV, WI fi, bathrobes, slippers, hairdryer etc.

at the back of Penina whilst the upgrade pool side room
overlook the pool and the championship golf course.
Dinning in Penina is always excellent breakfast is taken
in the Sagres buffet style and during the day lunch at the
Sir Henry Cotton bar. Of an evening either back to the Sagres
for the themed buffet or for a la carte the Grill Room is
a must experience. The L` Arelecchino Restaurant serves
Italian cuisine and a la carte is also available at certain
times of year.

Day 1 AM: Video Filming, swing analysis and instruction
PM: Technical putting and how to practise. Golf on Resort
Course
Evening: Welcome dinner including wine
Day 2 AM: On the range, around the green short game skills,
coaching drills and practice
PM: Golf on the Championship Course
Day 3 AM: Game & Mind Management, coaching
drills and practise, reading greens
and distance control.
PM: Play on the Championship course with Gary
Day 4 AM: On the range, around the green short
game skills coaching drills, chipping
and practice.
PM: Golf on the Resort Course
Day 5 AM: On the range, Bunker play coaching
drills and practice.
PM: Golf on the Resort Course
Day 6 AM: Re filming at the end of a week's
practice.
PM: Golf on the Championship Course
Evening: Farewell cocktail party and gala dinner including
wine
Day 7 Return to UK after a great fun week
of golf.
Price includes: 7 nights accommodation
on bed and breakfast basis, farewell cocktail party and
gala dinner with wine , 3 additional evening meals with
wine, met upon arrival in Faro and return airport transfers,
6 rounds of golf, use of academy with practice balls, daily
tuition. Price is based on two people sharing a twin room.
